A&L Painting LLC

Alan Luecke, owner of A&L Painting, has been painting in the Kansas City area since 1985. A&L Painting was formed in 2001 and relies primarily on referrals and repeat customers. He is a one-man company, working alone to ensure a neat, quiet, high-quality job. In addition to cabinets, interiors and specialty finishes, he also has experience in industrial coatings and color matching and enjoys the technical detail that goes into painting and finishings and how it all works together.

Interiors

He specializes in fine brushed enamel finishes and also has experience and equipment to spray cabinets and trim. He works with the latest low-VOC and zero-VOC green coatings and tailor the paint selection to meet the customer’s needs. Also, because of customers in the Ward Parkway corridor and Brookside area, he's experienced in patching and repairing plaster walls and ceilings.

Overglazing

This is an excellent solution for an outdated golden oak stain. A wood-tone glaze is applied over the top of the existing cleaned and prepared finish. The final result is a combination of the old and new colors. A clear coat is then applied for protection and a uniform sheen.

Refresh & Repair

Refreshing is a less-involved process than overglazing or graining and can often be accomplished in only one or two trips. It focuses on problem areas, such as water damage around sinks and pet scratches, or can be expanded to include a fresh varnish coat on all cabinets and trim. After a thorough cleaning, scratches, nicks and water-damaged areas are restored using various sealing, toning and glazing techniques.
