What are the latest trends in home furnishings? Antique-inspired, eclectic, contemporary, hand-rubbed, USA-made and technology-concealing. Five to-the-trade showroom managers share their favorite finds from High Point, America’s largest bi-annual showcase for design professionals.

From Fauld’s Cambridge Collection of “ageless classics with a twist” comes the 3 Drawer Bombe Commode in black paint with hand-painted gilt landscapes. This piece shows the line’s innovative design features incorporated into traditional styling.	Bausman & Company combines fine bench-made furniture with technology in its poster bed, which allows users to watch TV from any angle in the bedroom and then tuck it into the foot of the bed.
The Barberini Pedestal Table by MacKenzie-Dow Fine Furniture was made by hand of solid cherry from renewable and abundant Appalachian Cherry forests. The table comes in diameters from 40 inches to 60 inches, is available as an extension table and can be customized.	Barbara Barry brings graceful and simplistic designs to her latest line of furniture, Barbara Barry Realized by Henredon, found exclusively at KDR Designer Showrooms in Kansas City. The Bracelet Chair is a signature piece of her collection.
The Black Tie Collection of carpets from J. Mish take the ever-classic black/white combo to the floor with a series of patterns and textures.	From local designer Barbara Cosgrove comes the pair of pieties busts of a boy and girl on pedestals in white porcelain. Both classic and cutting-edge, they come with silver Mylar translucent shades.
Overall, the trend at market showcased cleaner, crisper lines with less ornamentation.  From Swaim, occasional pieces pair stainless steel linear designs with beautiful stone tops.	The Etoile Center table reflects the intentionally eclectic Atelier Collection line. This center table features a stone top with black wood rim with metal legs in a bunched bamboo style and joined by a unique, compass-shaped stretcher.
